K-EARTH 101, Supercuts and Paul Mitchell joined forces with the Girl Scouts of Greater Los Angeles for Locks of Love Week, June 3-
9 at participating Supercuts locations in Southern California. This annual event was inspired by an email from nine-year old K-EARTH 101 listener, Jo Jo Lopez, who wanted to donate her hair to Locks of Love to help provide hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children with medical hair loss. Sapphire Ventures stylists from throughout Southern California were on hand to help!
Locks of Love, a not-for-profit organization, was incorporated in December of 1997 and utilizes donated hair and resources to provide
hairpieces to financially disadvantaged children under age 21 with medical hair loss. The children receive hair prostheses free of charge or on a sliding scale, based on financial need.
During the week of June 3-9, 2013, every person who met the Locks of Love guidelines below will receive a FREE haircut from an expert stylist at participating Supercuts locations in Southern California, and a free Paul Mitchell 413 Sculpting Brush (while supplies last and hair donations must meet Locks of Love donation guidelines).
